A bride arrives by car at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church on Yonge Street, moments before the ceremony begins. The church is one of Toronto's most architecturally striking — a long, dramatic aisle and a scale that gives a procession real weight — and the arrival shot is one I always plan for here. Pull up, step out, gather the dress, breathe; the photograph happens in those few seconds, or not at all.
The reception followed at Rosedale Golf Club, just north of the city — both venues squarely in the part of Toronto I know best, having photographed many of the families nearby in Forest Hill, Rosedale, Lawrence Park, and Leaside.
